AFTERCARE

RECOVERY DERM
Healing Time 2-3 Weeks


With clean hands remove the first application of Recovery Derm after 24 hours, you may see a buildup of fluid under the recovery derm THIS IS NORMAL. It is easiest to remove Recovery Derm in the shower or under warm running water. Remove by peeling back the topmost corner pulling down not away from the body. Do this SLOWLY as not to damage the healing tattoo. Once the Recovery derm is removed gently wash your tattoo with warm water and an unscented antibacterial soap then pat dry with a clean towel. DO NOT APPLY ANYTHING INCLUDING LOTIONS before reapplying fresh Recovery
Derm.

To apply Recovery Derm peel the white backing and place the clear portion sticky side down on your tattoo do this with as few bubbles as possible. Once in place remove the clear/top layer of the film and ensure that all edges are sealed. Leave the fresh Recovery Derm on for 4-7 days. If you see any excessive redness at any point after receiving your tattoo contact your Artist or Doctor IMMEDIATELY, this could potentially be an allergic reaction or infection.


When removing the Recovery Derm the second time follow the instructions previously stated. Once completely dry apply a thin unscented lotion. Continue applying lotion 2-3 times daily for 7 days. If at anytime the seal on your Recovery Derm is broken, either remove it and reapply fresh Recovery Derm following the instructions above, or follow the "Traditional" Care instructions below. To ensure the longevity of your art work Keep any fresh tattoo out of the sun, you can begin using sunscreen after your tattoo has finished peeling. If you have ANY question or concern regarding your tattoo please contact your Artist. Seriously. We're here to help. NEVER pick at or peel a fresh tattoo. DO NOT use A&D or a petroleum based lubricant on your fresh tattoo (aka. Vaseline or petroleum jelly) this can hinder the healing process and lead to infection. Additionally additives in petroleum based products can leech or pull pigment from the skin causing your tattoo to fade before its even healed.

TRADITIONAL
Healing Time 2-3 Weeks


Remove any wrap or bandage placed by the artist as soon as you get home and wash your tattoo under warm water with an unscented antibacterial soap and then pat dry with a CLEAN towel. Once COMPLETELY dry apply a thin unscented healing lotion such as Lubaderm or Aveno.
Wash your tattoo 2-3 times daily. With clean hands reapply lotion after every time you wash it. Continue aftercare until your tattoo is done peeling. If your tattoo feels tight or dry thought the day you can apply lotion with clean hands up to 4 times a day including the lotion applied after washing. Allow your tattoo to get as much open air as possible if your clothing covers it make sure the article is loose and breathable. DO NOT use A&D or a petroleum based lubricant on your fresh tattoo (aka. Vaseline or petroleum jelly) this can hinder the healing process and lead to infection. Additionally additives in petroleum based products can leech or pull pigment from the skin causing your tattoo to fade before its
even healed. Once the tattoo begins peeling you can switch to a more moisturizing lotion if you choose. NEVER pick at or peel a fresh tattoo. To ensure the longevity of your artwork keep any fresh tattoo out of the sun, you can begin using sunscreen after your tattoo has finished peeling.
